Cat Recommends

What follows below are some items that I personally use and attribute to my online success! If you’re serious about marketing on the internet and want to learn from the Crème de la Crème,  these are not just recommendations, but rather essentials!

Magnetic Sponsoring: This little book right here has been affectionately dubbed “The Network Marketer’s Bible” for good reason. Written by the “Father of Attraction Marketing,” Mike Dillard, this book will not only teach you how to magnetically attract an endless stream of new representatives and customers, but it also offers a FREE 7-day bootcamp video series to kick off your network marketing business in a way that is sustainable and effective!

It is so effective that it comes with a 12 month guarantee!

My Lead System Pro

MLSP

My Lead System Pro (A. K. A. “MLSP”): This is the first ever 100% generic, fully customizable, attraction marketing system. You can market ANY network marketing business with MLSP. This is a funded proposal solution that will help you start earning money right away! This system was the brainchild of Magnetic Sponsoring Jedis, Norbert Orlewicz and Brian Fanale.

If you’re not using the complete “plug and play” system to put your business online and on the map, you are absolutely working too hard! The $9.95 trial is awesome. You get to test out this system for 30-days and have nothing to lose!

Hostmonster (by Blue Host)

Hostmonster (by Blue Host)

Hostmonster/BlueHost: You’re building a BUSINESS. If you’re looking to do this right, you definitely want a self-hosted WordPress blog to build it on; a solid foundation which you can “add to” over time as your business grows and evolves.

Hostmonster (powered by Blue Host) is by far the best platform to utilize and my fave, hands down. They’re secure, the best price, easiest to use, you get unlimited hosting (all of your websites can be on this 1 account), PLUS you get your domain for FREE! They offer 24/7 tech-support (and the techs are cool and easy to chat with). This is the only choice, in my opinion.

Get your hosting package with Hostmonster here!

Host Gator

Host Gator: So you want to build a self-hosted WordPress blog, but are a little commitment-phobic? No worries, Host Gator has you covered. You can go month-to-month with Host Gator, get unlimited space to host all of your websites in one place, and also get excellent customer support round the clock! Hosting packages are priced really well and they come with cPanel as well as push-button site-builders, so it’s a real winner!

DIYthemes Thesis

Thesis: Now that we’re onto self-hosted WordPress blogs, you want to make sure you have the perfect canvas available to construct your site so that 1.) it looks the way you want it to & 2.) it’s effective.

This is where applying the right theme comes into play – and you do NOT want to miss out on Thesis by Chris Pearson. I have played with many a theme, from freebies to premiums (paid themes), and Thesis wins for me every time! Not only is it extremely simple to work with (NEWBIE-FRIENDLY), it packs one heck of an SEO punch!

You can do anything you want with Thesis, especially because it comes with real support, so you’re never left out in the lurch if you need some help customizing it and making it EXACTLY how you want it. You won’t find that anywhere else!

Aweber

Aweber

Aweber: Once you have your site up, you need to start collecting data from people who land on it so that you can be in touch and marketing to that list. There are a b’jillion different kinds of autoresponders out there to choose from. I’ve tried several over the years myself. My favourite is Aweber. They are the single most compatible service that will work seamlessly with your marketing efforts and other programs. The tracking analytics and delivery-rates are 2nd to none. You will find that their price is also the best for what is offered. If you don’t have an autoresponder, give Aweber a try for only $1.

LeadNetPro

LeadNetPro (A. K. A. “LNP”): If you’re looking for a “powertool” voice broadcast software which can get your message out to hundreds and thousands of people with a few mouseclicks, look no further: LeadNetPro is what you are seeking. This software is extremely simple to set up and to use and requires an insignificant amount of time to use. It’s basically “set it/forget it” style and it casts a wide net to reach your target market.

One of the best pluses o f this software is that it comes with a state of the art harvester or “scraper” that can be used to pull an unlimited amount of lead data for you from various sources such as: CraigsList, Merchant Circle, Yellow Book, Google, & Yahoo. It can even go into any site indexed on Google and literally “gut out” lead data in real time from other websites…definitely a cool little perk!

PushButtonEmailer

PushButtonEmailer

PushButtonEmailer (A. K. A. “PBE”): Looking for a stable and ridiculously simple (and inexpensive) email broadcast software of the “powertool”-variety? Have a look at PushButtonEmailer. This is a nifty program by the well-known and respected Dennis Bayne.  This program fills the need for a software that will allow you to market to lists that have not been opted into a specific service such as Aweber.

You can send up to 5,000 emails per day in a “set it/forget it” style. If you have LeadNetPro, you can pull unlimited data and constantly have fresh, new, targeted lists to send your PushButtonEmailer broadcasts to on a daily basis!

GoDaddy

GoDaddy: Nowadays everybody and their mama knows about GoDaddy. I don’t recommend them for website hosting (see HostMonster or Host Gator for better deals and better site security), but I do think that GoDaddy is very good for registering domains. (Plus, if you’re hosted with Host Gator, you will have to get your domains from an outside company anyway.) I get some cool discounts from GoDaddy that you can use by clicking the button or below. Right now, the big savings are on .com domains; ordinarily priced at $11.99/year, but with this link, you’ll get ‘em for only $7.49!

OnlyWire

OnlyWire

OnlyWire: If you’re beginning to take blogging and internet marketing seriously, this is not a “maybe” tool. What it does is automatically submit your articles to all the social networking sites with a mouseclick. I had no idea there were so many social networking sites til I popped open OnlyWire and looked at all the places it will submit your content. This service is sure to get your articles out there and in front of the right audiences without taking up any of your valuable time or effort.

The free service is fantastic, but if you’re really serious about earning money online and maximizing your exposure, the paid subscriptions are reasonably priced and well worth the price.

TribePro

TribePro

TribePro: Imagine getting 600+ instant backlinks from social media sites or thousands of page views – that’s the magic of tribe marketing with TribePro…We are tribal creatures by nature and it’s this “tribe mentality” that TribePro applies in its philosophy. This is essentially a marketing cooperative where marketers help promote one another. What happens is that you can join tribes for free and then the reciprocal relationship begins where your content is autosyndicated by your tribe members and vice versa!

This is by far one of the COOLEST and most effective ways to get your website found! You can join for FREE, but the paid service is worth its weight in gold!

Goodness Catherine…I’m really beginning to feel the effects of growing up in a cotton patch with a pick sack day after day. This is a lot of exposure.

Hehehe It does seem like a LOT when you look at everything all at once, doesn’t it?

These are tools that can be used to help educate as well as generate exposure, Carter. I think that it’s not necessary to ever bite off more than we can chew. What I always recommend is to start with one corner and kind of work your way inward. It’s kinda like putting together a jigsaw puzzle in that way.

These are here to be mini-reviews of some of the tools I personally use (yes, there are actually others if you can believe that). This way, when it becomes relevant for people to take on new tools, they may be able to see my assessment of these tools and decide whether or not it’s something they’d like to try.

You know what they say, though…”Rome wasn’t built in a day.” So brick by brick, we build the Colosseum. :)

Great resources Cat. Do you use Push Button Emailer? I looked into it but thought it was kind of shady since the people you will email haven’t give you permission to do so.

Any input from you would be appreciated. All the best.

Chuck

Hey Chuck,

Glad you like resources. Yes, I use everything on this list personally, including Push Button Emailer.

You don’t have to use unsolicited lists (though many people do use harvested lists, genealogies, et cetera). Many times I use this to mail out to all of my responsive opt-ins who I pile into a separate communications list which I can’t put into something like Aweber or GetResponse because of how they scrutinize opt-in lists coming from other autoresponder sources (or if the dates of the opt-ins were too old for their liking).

So basically, it’s a great way to circumnavigate the usual hiccups associated with data management to that respect.

Hope that helps!

Cat ;-)
